I have tried trouble shooting (Microsoft and Skype), checking drivers (SigmaTel says it is the latest one) but can't seem to resolve. It has worked fine, but then stops working for no clear reason.
When the call is connected, I can hear the other party but they cannot hear me. Finally it is a very good headset and would recommend it to anyone who will use these mainly at home and will mainly use them for non sports activities like gaming. Recently bought a LogiTech headset for making Skype calls. The wire is very well protected with the threaded material.įinally the Logitech G230 Headset does have a volume control around the middle of the wire and also has a mute button which is a very useful feature. The Logitech G230 has a very very long wire which could be good for a office if you need to move about a lot however for just casual use the wire could get in the way. The cuffs can be removed and washed which is a very cool feature. However this is expected from any headset. Trying to lie down in bed with these could lead to the cuffs rubbing on a pillow as there are very big. I unfortunately could not test the microphone because it is only compatible with windows. The microphone isn’t anything special but for a casual Skype call or for the beginning of a youtube channel it will do fine. However it will not block out any extremely loud sounds like a drill or shouting. I would also like to say that the noise cancellation is very good and reduces a lot of the sound around you, allowing you to listen peacefully to the music. Over a long period of time (2-3 hours) it could begin to hurt at the top of your head however it is nothing major and it can simply be fixed with just taking them of for a bit. The headset had a very nice build and design, however its can be quiet heavy or big for new users and therefor they are not suitable for sports. The Logitech G230 only fully works on Windows however you can still listen or use them as normal headphones on any device with a 3.5mm port. I have a mac and I sadly bought this thinking all the features (mostly the microphone) would work but I was wrong. The headset could be found for around £25-£50 and is an overall very good headset.
